Father Matthew Jackson

Father Matthew Jackson is essentially a "native" of Clinton, having graduated from Clinton High School and having earned his first degree (B.A. in English) from Mississippi College. His Master of Divinity is from St. Tikhon's Orthodox Theological Seminary (2006). He was ordained to the priesthood on July 12, 2005. He pastored Christ the Saviour Orthodox Church in McComb, MS, from 2006-2009, and has been attached to Holy Resurrection since that time.

Fr. Matthew and Matushka Xenia (nee Melissa Gail Howe) were married in 1997. They have five children - Gavriel, Abigail, Zoe, Dorothea, and Levi Seraphim. Matushka is a R.N., employed at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
